When Did You Fall In Love With Hip Hop?
Nearly 50 years ago, on August 11, 1973, DJ KOOL HERC founded Hip Hop at a birthday party in the Bronx, New York. Since then, it’s grown into a movement that spans turntables to rapping to beatboxing to graffiti art and more. Today, Hip Hop transcends borders and communities bringing people together with a shared culture and love of music.
This Friday, August 11 head back to the Mecca of Hip Hop where it all started as Live Nation has teamed up with Mass Appeal, Major League Baseball and Audible to bring you an unforgettable celebration with Hip Hop 50 Live at Yankee Stadium featuring Run DMC, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne and other artists to celebrate the culture, the art form and honor the creme del’ crème of hip hop. Tune into Mass Appeal’s official YouTube channel where the event can be streamed Live! Join us on Live Nation’s Instagram channels for a behind the scenes glimpse into one of Hip Hop’s biggest events.
